Some of the listing options available are:

Sole Agency
This is when you list you property with one agent for a set period of time. If the property is sold by another agent who is not in conjunction with the listing agent, then the owner may be liable to pay two commissions. However, if the owner sells the property, then the listing agent is not entitled to commission.

Exclusive Agency
Once again, this is when you list your property with only one agent for a set period of time. If the property is sold by another agent who is not in conjunction with the listing agent, then once again, the owner may be liable to pay two commissions.(NB: the listing agent is entitled to receive commission). Under the terms of this appointment, even if the owner sells the property privately, the listing agent is still entitled to commission.

Open Listing
This is when you list your property with as many agents as you wish. Once the property sells, commission is only to be paid to the agent who sold the property. However, if the owner sells the property, then none of the listing agents are entitled to commission.

Auction
This is an exclusive listing where your property is placed on the market without a selling price. Your property is put up for sale on a specified date and time on your terms and conditions, at which time public bidding commences to determine the price you may receive for your property.
